Abstract¶
Regional airports are essential components of infrastructure for the economic development of the regions situated in the area of influence of the aerodrome. Therefore, studying the economic dynamics of direct, indirect and induced impacts due to the operation of a regional Airport is an essential activity for evaluating public and private investments. In this vein, a proposition of the paper is the development of a methodological procedure to evaluate temporally how changes in land use around aerodromes, using geoprocessing techniques. Understanding land use in the vicinity of the aerodrome can allow an estimate of proxies for economic development, depending on the type of use: residential, commercial or industrial.
