Abstract

THE URBAN AIR MOBILITY (UAM) CONCEPT HAS BEEN CREATED WITH THE OBJECTIVE TO REDUCE THE URBAN TRAFFIC PROVIDING ON-DEMAND SHORT FLIGHTS WITH ZERO-EMISSION AIRCRAFTS, KNOWN AS eVTOL (ELECTRIC VERTICAL TAKE-OFF AND LANDING AIRCRAFT). IN THE LONG TERM, WITH MORE FLIGHTS, THE AIR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MUST BE DONE IN A EFFICIENT AND SAFETY WAY. IN THE COMMERCIAL AVIATION, THE AIR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT IS DONE THROUGH THE SLOT CONTROL, CHANGES IN TICKET PRICES OR SLOTS NEGOTIATIONS. HOWEVER, AS THE UAM FLIGHT DYNAMIC IS DIFFERENT AND IS ON-DEMAND, THE SLOT CONTROL MUST BE MODIFIED SINCE THE FLIGHT DURATION IS SHORTER WHEN COMPARED TO THE COMMERCIAL AVIATION. THIS WORK PRESENTS A NEW SLOT APPROACH FOR THE UAM, THIS APPROACH CORRELATES THE FLIGHT PLAN DIRECTLY WITH THE VERTIPORT RESOURCES AND ALSO USES THE WEATHER FORECAST INFORMATION FOR THE FLIGHT PLAN ALLOCATION.
