Abstract

New mobility alternatives have been sought in order to minimize impacts caused by urban traffic jam. Among these alternatives, Urban Air Mobility (UAM) arises, which can be defined as a form of safe and efficient urban air transport by unmanned vehicles. This new approach was made possible by the development of new aviation technologies. Such technologies allowed the development of manned and unmanned vehicles called eVTOL (eletric Vertical Take-off and Landing). The infrastructure demanded for the introduction of UAM services is a challenge and which companies must face when entering this market. Among these, the decision making associated the location of the vertiports must be based on criteria such as user demand, space availability and feasibility of implementing the local infrastructure. This work aims to determine the most favorable areas for the construction of the terrestrial infrastructure necessary for UAM operations, through the analysis of different criteria based on the creation of scenarios using the Fuzzy approach. Five different operators were used: fuzzy AND, OR, Algebraic Product, Algebraic Sum and fuzzy GAMMA with GAMMA values equal to 0.2, 0.5 and 0.9. The results revealed different scenarios for the phenomenon studied. The Algebraic Product and GAMMA 0.2 operators presented more restrictive scenarios, that is, a smaller extension of areas favorable to the installation of vertiports. The opposite occurred with the OR and Algebraic Soma operators, which presented less restrictive scenarios, resulting in larger areas with favorability. The fuzzy GAMMA 0.5 and 0.9 presented intermediate scenarios. It is important to note that the study did not identify exact areas for installing vertiports, but indicating which are the most favorable areas and excluding areas that are less favorable for installing vertiports.
